I honestly can't believe this summer has escaped me...I swear there was no July. Where was I? Not that this summer wasn't incredible because it was, and when I think of how many adventures I have embarked on, these several months don't actually seem long enough to have done it all. I will miss Polaris, and my team, but I think that I am ready to move on to something new....perhaps Eastern Europe? :o)

Becca, Wow! I am blown away by your experiences. You are so courageous to take this journey (and your parents are brave to not flip out!) I want a long evening of slides and talk when you get back so we can experience it through you. This is such a cool time for you! We love you!!!!!! Aunt Mic, Uncle Jim, and Will

dearest becca,
I am so grateful that you have found humor in your experiences. You have brought me great joy in your writings and so much laughter. I may be in the grocery one day or perhaps in the middle of a sermon in church and just burst out laughing because of your description of yourself as an overfed exotic pet. You are so dear to us and we are looking forward to living vicariously through your adventures.
God Bless you,
jennifer

Rebecca -
As I read and listen to you speak of your adventures I find myself filled with true happiness...and even excitement. I wish I had been as brave and determined at your age! This has not been an easy adventure but the best ones rarely are. You have an enormous capacity and ability to recognize pain, injustice and when human rights and freedoms are being grossly challenged. As you venture deeper and deeper into the issues you are facing and uncovering just remember you will find the strength and answers from a source FAR greater than you may even understand and that any other human can offer. You know that is God. You have been born into a family that thrives on adventure and also on "righting wrongs". But you will be afraid at times and when you are afraid, uncertain, scared or just lonely try to trust in God so you can know A peace that surpasses all understanding. Iloveyou and miss you terribly! We'll talk soon.....
PS - i don't care whether you bathe or shave but take care of those expensive TEETH! XOXOXOX

PSS - I hope you don't end up on UTUBE on a Japanese tourist's record of their summer trip to the Balkans!
